Choosing the right threads to wear to a football match is very important for some.
It doesn't matter whether you prioritise style, warmth or fashion - the general rule is to try to, at least, avoid wearing any rival teams' colours.
Which is why it came as quite a shock when one football fan was spotted on the live coverage of Everton's draw with Manchester United donning a bright white jacket - with a big Chelsea logo stuck on it.
People on Twitter noticed it instantly (it was a much more interesting observation than the pretty dull game itself) and people seemed very confused:

Although one Chelsea fan was pleased to see her there:

The fan in question is one Emily Rogawski - and she had her reasons for her choice of coat.
The die-hard Blues fan, who's originally from New York, is now based in Liverpool and attended Chelsea's away win at Manchester City on Saturday:
What an absolutely incredible game to be at. So grateful to be here. I cannot thank enough. I looked like this the entire time ->team. My happiness. My heart. My pride #Obrigado

And, being a huge fan of the sport itself, she made it a weekend double-header by taking in another game at Goodison Park. But, after becoming a mini viral hit on Twitter, she explained her choice of outfit:
I LOVE Chelsea & I LOVE football! So wouldn't want to miss a game like this! Especially when tickets were only 15£. Being an American living in England is a dream with all the football surrounding me so I try to go to as many games as I can. I was also really hoping to see @bastianschwein steigerLIKE SERIOUSLY... I rep Chelsea everywhere I go! would you expect me to wear

And rep it she did, which is fair enough. Some on social media have different opinions though, and she had a message to any critics...
Whoever is hating on me for wearing my Chelsea jacket please feel free to buy me a winter coat cus this is the only one I have... pic.twitter.com/IP2a Q24taf— Emily Rogawski (@EmilyRogawski) December 4, 2016
Rogawski had the perfect response to football's fashion police questioning why she would wear the white Chelsea jacket to a match in which they aren't playing.
I spend all my money on football tickets not clothes #priorities https://t.co /f8kLns1DFm— Emily Rogawski (@EmilyRogawski) December 4, 2016
So there you have it. But a word of warning to any fans now looking to copy that style: be careful where and when you do it.
We can't imagine a Tottenham Hotspur top would ever go down well at an Arsenal game...
