Scorpion kicks aren't meant to happen in football.
There's a good reason people STILL talk about Colombia goalkeeper, Rene Higuita doing THAT ridiculous clearance against England during a 1995 friendly at Wembley. It's because footballers are simply not meant to do this sort of thing:
And yet, remarkably, Henrikh Mkhitaryan not only just did an actual, proper scorpion kick during a Premier League match… HE ACTUALLY SCORED A PREMIER LEAGUE GOAL WITH IT.
You'll have to see it with your own eyes before you truly believe it, but we can assure you that this really did happen. Look at the celebration of the Armenian's wondergoal in Man United's 3-1 win against Sunderland and you'll see that even Zlatan couldn't quite believe what he'd just witnessed:
