“Pidgin”English or broken English (as it is called) originated during the slave trade era as a means of communication between the Europeans and the Africans. Today, pidgin English is still widely spoken in Nigeria, and it helps people from different tribes, communicate easily.
Most Pidgin words are English words, however, there are some words that people think are pidgin words, but are actual words that can be found in the English dictionary. Here are some of the words that people wrongly term as ‘bad English’.
