This certainly doesn't look like a wood-burning kit
A father was disgusted to find a 'junior wood-burning kit' he ordered from Amazon as a Christmas present for his 11yr-old daughter to be S€X TOY.
So far Amazon has promised a refund - including a $10 compensation voucher - but since then he claims he has heard nothing.
Alex Bai from Rhode Island is just relieved he didn’t just hand over the box to his young daughter without checking it over first.
The story was broken by CBS47 which reports he is claiming Amazon messed up his order and sent him adult toys instead of the gifts he wanted to give his daughter and her friend.
“They are adult sex toys,” Alex Bai said.
"I think Amazon owes a sincere apology."
After opening the smart black box, he realised: “It was definitely not a wood burning kit.
"But at first, I had no idea what it was."
A Google listing describes the package as a rechargeable wireless remote-controlled vibrating pleasure adult sex toy.
But the box is actually marked as the 'junior wood burning kit' Alex was expecting.
“The label still says it's a wood burning kit, exactly as I ordered,” Bai said.
He claimed he has contacted Amazon to complain and was told they’d call back - but hasn't heard from them.
Bai was eventually told he could have a refund and a $10 credit.
"So I don't feel they are treating this seriously,” Bai told the station.
“They didn't realize how potentially damaging or embarrassing for a customer it can be.
They didn't realize what could happen if I just, without checking, gave this to a pre-teen girl.
"You really cannot totally trust that whatever you received from Amazon is exactly what you have ordered."
Bai strongly advised that ALL customers should check their Amazon packages before giving them as gifts.
