Santi Cazorla gave a thumbs up to Arsenal fans after undergoing the "perfect" surgery.
Cazorla underwent an operation in Sweden after picking up an Achilles problem that will rule him out for three months.
The Spaniard suffered the problem during Arsenal's Champions League win over Ludogorets in October.
Midfielder Cazorla stepped up training last month in an effort to get back but the problem did not improve and the Gunners have decided to operate.
Following the operation, Cazorla took to Instagram to share a photo with a huge smile on his face.
He captioned his post: "Surgery done! It was perfect! Looking forward to be back at the #emiratesstadium with you!"
Arsenal confirmed the injury problems with Cazorla last week as they looked to try and resolve the situation.
A club statement read: "The club’s medical team and specialists have decided that surgery is required to the plantaris tendon in the Spain international's right foot.
"We expect Santi’s full recovery to take approximately three months."
