Laurent Koscielny reckons he scores better goals than Olivier Giroud's scorpion kick all the time

The French defender isn't having any of the fuss over his club and country team-mate's goal, and insists his effort on Arsenal's open day last year was way better
SporTainment
The world has just about stopped going on about Olivier Giroud's brilliant scorpion kick goal for Arsenal against Crystal Palace on New Year's Day.
It was quite a staggering effort from the Frenchman, with many claiming that it is a shoo-in for both Arsenal's and the Premier League's goal of the season awards, but one man just isn't a fan.
Step forward Giroud's fellow Frenchman, his Arsenal team-mate and his so-called friend, Laurent Koscielny. Because he just isn't having any of it.
The pair - along with Francis Coquelin - signed new Arsenal contracts this week, and when he sat down with the Gunners website, the centre-back wanted to make one thing clear.
He insists that he's scored a better goal than Giroud's scorpion kick effort, and that his mate was just "lucky".
And what's more, he says he does it all the time.
Koscielny's Rabona effort which found the top corner in Arsenal's open day last year was a viral hit with Gunners fans, and he's certain it was better than Giroud's.
“I think mine is better because I’ve trained a lot with that skill!” he told the Gunners website. “Every day, just before the warm up, I do it one or two times to practise my rabona.
“Oli’s was very lucky and he can try that 10 times but I’m not sure he’d score it 10 times. Mine is more difficult because I needed time to progress with my skills.
“He had a little bit of luck for that goal but he tried it, so it’s a nice goal."
Did you hear that, Olivier? Nice!
With friends like Koscielny, who needs enemies eh?
