The long-forgotten Dutch defender doesn't seem to care that he was considered a flop at Old Trafford, because he can still have a dig at the Liverpool legend

Remember Alexander Buttner? What do you mean no?!
The Dutch left-back was one of Sir Alex Ferguson's final signings as Manchester United boss, pitching up at Old Trafford in the summer of 2012 before going on to play 28 times in all competitions at the Old Trafford.
Five of those features came in the 2012/13 season, a fact that Buttner is clearly very proud of. And is still using to score points with United fans.
Because speaking after completing a move from Dynamo Moscow to his first club, Vitesse Arnhem, Buttner felt the need to make a comparison.
"My adventure with Manchester United was not a failure," he told Algemeen Dagblad in his homeland.
"Who can say that they have won the Premier League title? I can say that.
"Even Steven Gerrard hasn’t managed it."
Shots fired, then. And United fans would surely have enjoyed them.
Now for Gerrard to respond.
If he can remember who Buttner is.
