Arsenal and Manchester United will miss out on the top four this season, according to a sports super computer.
Ian McHale, the professor of sports analytics at the University of Salford, has developed SAM (Sports Analytics Machine) along with his colleague, Dr Tarak Kharrat.
And when asked to simulate Premier League results until the end of the season, SAM claims that The Gunners and United fans are set to be left heart-broken.
It found that Chelsea are poised to pull away from the pack and secure the Premier League title seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham.
Liverpool beats Manchester City to third on goal difference, while Arsenal fall one point short of making the top four.
Interestingly, it claims that United will end the season seven points adrift of the Champions League spots.
SAM says that United have just a 20.3 per cent chance to edging past their rivals into the coveted places.
At the other end of the table, there is disappointment for the three teams currently occupying the bottom three spots in the Premier League.
Swansea, Sunderland and Hull are expected to be unable to avoid relegation.
SAM claims that Hull, who have just been taken over by new manager, Marco Silva, are nearly a dead certainty of relegation, with a 97.2 per cent chance to relegation.
Of the middle pack, reigning champions, Leicester are predicted to rise to 10th place, offering a slightly more respectable finish to their title defence.
A wide range of factors are taken into consideration by SAM as it predicts match results.
It is based around the average performance levels of Premier League players so far this season and does not take into consideration that those players could face potential injury problems.
It means that injuries to any team's key man - such as Dele Alli for Tottenham or Diego Costa for Chelsea- could have a detrimental impact on their predicted league finishes.
SAM's predicted Premier League table:
Chelsea, 85 points
Tottenham, 78
Liverpool, 77
Manchester City, 77
Arsenal, 76
Manchester United, 70
Everton 56
West Brom, 51
Southampton, 50
Leicester, 47
Bournemouth, 47
West Ham, 45
Stoke, 44
Burnley, 42
Watford, 40
Middlesbrough, 40
Crystal Palace, 36
Sunderland, 33
Swansea, 32
Hull, 25
