Claudio Ranieri has admitted Leicester are fighting against the drop, just eight months after winning the title.
Leicester are sixth from bottom, five points above the relegation zone and face a difficult upcoming fixture list which could suck them further into danger.
Their next away games are at Southampton and Burnley while their next home game is Manchester United.
It was another meek submission as Leicester were defeated by Chelsea and Ranieri admits he is only thinking about survival rather than spending in January.
Ranieri said: “I said from the beginning, we have to look over the shoulder. We know from the beginning it was another Premier League for us and we are in the battle for relegation.
“The mentality is right, we fight. This team is used to fighting. These players know how to fight.
“Now my focus is on the men I have, about the opponent and for me, it is not important to think about the January transfer market. I am only focused on Southampton.”
