Emily Rogawski was the sensation of social media on Sunday when she stood out like a sore thumb in the crowd at Goodison Park by wearing a white Chelsea jacket as Everton drew with Manchester United.
The Liverpool-based student was criticised by some fans, questioning her fan credibility, others asked if she was lost and some remarked at her appearance - while many were impressed.
Here, the football-mad New Yorker explains to SportXlusive her choice of wardrobe and talks about her love of the round ball game.

Being a passionate football fan from New York studying in Liverpool, weekends like these are a dream come true.
I couldn't contain my excitement as I travelled to Manchester to cheer my beloved Chelsea.
The atmosphere was electric as Chelsea put on an impressive performance to secure a 3-1 win.
We were on top of the table, and I felt on top of the world knowing that the next day, I had another match to attend. This time at Goodison Park.
Some people ask why I would go to this game if I’m clearly a die-hard Chelsea fan and not an Everton or Manchester United supporter, but before I was a fan of Chelsea, I was a fan of the beautiful game.
Rogawski reveals she once wore a Drogba cap to an Arsenal game
I could not pass up seeing the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, and a few former Chelsea men like Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku and even Jose Mourinho himself! Especially for only £15!
I put on my only winter jacket, and proudly wore the Chelsea badge.
When I arrived a lot of people gave me funny looks and asked if I was lost.
I explained that I was here to watch a great football match, and also hoping that one of my idols, Bastian Schweinsteiger, would at least be on the bench.
I picked up my ticket from the StubHub collection and rushed straight to my seat.
The Everton fans were so nice and could tell that I was a true fan of football here to enjoy the game.
A lovely little girl even gave me her Everton mint!
Together we watched the final minutes of the Liverpool-Bournemouth game and celebrated the great result.

When the match finally began, I was hypnotised. I love being so close to the action and at eye level studying the game.
It might not have been the most exciting match, but I took in every incredible second.
I never expected to get such a strong reaction being spotted on TV with my Chelsea jacket.

I wore Chelsea gear and a ‘Drogba’ hat as I sat amongst Arsenal fans in January, and even after our win, an Arsenal fan grabbed my face to try and kiss me while another gave me the finger!
A lot of people were very supportive of my passion for the game, and I didn’t pay attention to any negativity.

Unfortunately some articles were classless and irrelevant in their content, but at the end of the day, I hope people can understand and respect my love for the beautiful game.
I look forward to continuing to go to as many football matches as I can.
