Speaking on BT Sport, Rio Ferdinand picks his two best Premier League defenders.
The 38-year-old spent 12 seasons with Manchester United and knows all about what it takes to become a top centre-back.
And speaking prior to Spurs's final Champions League game against CSKA Moscow, Ferdinand picked his top two from the English top flight.
Toby Alderweireld was the first name to be picked, after the Belgian returned from injury to make the Tottenham Hotspur bench.
He said: "In terms of importance, he's alongside Harry Kane.
"He understands where to be on the football pitch, takes a chance at times, but he steps out and makes things happen."
Alderweireld wasn't alone at the top of Ferdinand's Premier League defender rankings.
He added: "I think he's one of the top two defenders along with Koscielny in this league and he does weigh in with a goal here or there."
