The extraordinary moment was captured by a motorist travelling through the Kruger National Park en-route to South Africa after working in Mozambique.
Wikus Ceronie, 26, filmed the extraordinary sight on Friday, reeling as the hippo charged while repeatedly yelling "s**t!".“This is my first time ever working in Mozambique and I was on a jolly journey back home to South Africa," he told latestsightings.com.
"Suddenly the hippo turned and just started charging… I braced myself as I realized he wasn’t going to stop.
"He hit the bakkie head on and then tried biting it.
