Eden Hazard last night claimed Chelsea eased up on Arsenal and could have scored three more.
It was the final insult for Arsenal whose defeat at Stamford Bridge leaves them 12 points behind in the title race and Chelsea odds-on to win the Premier League.
Chelsea star, Hazard, even claimed that they saved the goals for their next game at Burnley next Sunday because they saw off Arsenal so easily.
Hazard, in an interview with Chelsea TV, said: “We could have scored two or three more goals. We didn’t. We keep it for the next game.”
Belgium forward, Hazard, also revealed that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte asks him to turn on “magic” and that was the reason behind his remarkable solo goal.
Hazard added: “He asks me to do a lot. When we don’t have the ball, he wants me to defend and, when we have the ball, counter-attack and be free. To do something magic. For me or for the other team-mates, that’s what I try and do.
“We all enjoyed the game. The players, the fans, the manager obviously. We want this kind of game every week, but it’s difficult to keep to the same level every week. So now we rest a little bit and try, in a couple of days, to be ready for the next game.”
Conte has warned his players against complacency in the title race after using his own stories of last gasp slip-ups.
Former Italy boss Conte missed out on the Serie A title in 2000 when Juventus blew a five point lead with just four games to go when Sven Goran Eriksson’s Lazio beat them to the title.
