Think, Nigeria youth, think

I'm bereft of a title for this.
But read it with a mind on the socio-economic realities in this clime.
Our- my - generation has won no vote of confidence from those ahead of us. They've reposed no modicum of trust in us. It is paradoxical.
A generation that took over the baton at about our own present age bracket reneged on their role and responsibility to mentor us. Our generic forebears have refused to integrate us into the ordering of the order of things not to mention allow us take the rudder.
It is true that ours is a generation of largely badly educated youth; but who is to blame? The learner who is distorted and poorly taught, or the teachers who poorly taught him, and the helmsmen who ordered a system that teaches badly?
And it is true that some- a good some- among us have distinguished themselves against all odds. Even then, these ageing helmsmen have chosen to keep us at bay, or have us as underdogs and menial errand-runners.
At our age, some of them have had one or more of these: a good job, a house, a motorcycle, a car, and a wife. But with us, sadly, these things have become unthinkables.
Ours is a generation of millennials (to use Prof. Pius Adesanmi's word) who have been and are disadvantaged in all front.
Forerunners hand over when the vanguards arrive; but these ones say NO WAY!
Nearly all lecturers are above 50
Nearly all newspaper and media house owners are above 50.
Nearly all big-time labour employers are above 50.
Nearly all unemployed are below 30.
Nearly all vagrants are below 30.
