Arsenal Allegedly Slap £38.6m Price Tag on Barcelona Target Hector Bellerin

Arsenal have reportedly slapped a £38.6m price tag on defender Hector Bellerin in an attempt to ward off interest from Barcelona.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon claims that the Gunners have allegedly told the La Liga giants to stump up the sizable fee if they want to re-sign the right-back.
Barcelona are believed to have been hoping to bring Bellerin back to the Camp Nou in a deal worth around £30m.

But the Catalan side now have to decide whether to continue their pursuit of their former youth academy product or look elsewhere.
Bellerin swapped Spain's top flight for the Barclays Premier League in July 2011. The full-back initially joined Arsenal's Under-18 set up, before progressing through the youth ranks and breaking into Arsene Wenger's first-team squad during the 2014/15 campaign.

The Spain international has gone on to make the right-back position at the Emirates his own over the past three seasons.
However, Barcelona vice-president Jordi Mestre helped to stoke the fires over Bellerin's future at Arsenal on Tuesday.
And he used the examples of other former Barcelona youth players, who eventually returned to the reigning La Liga champions after time with other clubs, as a primary reason as to why Bellerin could decide to leave his current employers.

Mestre said: "We've already seen him as a Cule! He's a great player, there's no doubt about that.
"Wenger convinced him to move [in 2011] and promised him something which we couldn't.
"We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves' place.

"In many cases it's good that they leave to develop as players and then return [with that experience].
"Look at the cases of Cesc [Fabregas], [Gerard] Pique, [Jordi] Alba and Denis Suarez… I hope the same thing will happen with [Sergi] Samper, too.
"It's positive that [these players] get minutes at other clubs. It is dynamic which has always provided good results for players that carry the Barca DNA in their blood."
